biography

Rania Elghonemy is a teaching assistant of finance and accounting at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST). Rania holds a master’s degree in finance and banking from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. Rania teaches courses in finance including financial management, graduation project in finance, advanced financial management, insurance and risk management and financial markets. Rania teaches courses in accounting including principles of accounting, intermediate accounting, advanced financial accounting, and graduation projects in accounting beside teaching mathematics and descriptive statistics courses.

    As a UN Secretary at COP27, my role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth functioning of the conferences and facilitating productive discussions among participating countries. My responsibilities extend from overseeing the operations within the Blue Zone, where most of the official negotiations and high-level meetings take place, to ensuring the coordination of activities within various country pavilions and conferences attended by presidents and other dignitaries.
